Just Dance 2 is the second game in the main series of Just Dance. It was released on October 2010 for the Wii. A Best Buy Edition of the game was also released, containing 3 new songs not in the regular edition.
When the game first launched, online functionality was available. Specifically, a shop was available where players could purchase additional songs for the game. However on January 30, 2019, said functionality was disabled, making the shop unavailable to users.
Overview
In the Just Dance series, players compete against each other for recreational victory by following on-screen coaches doing dance routines. Each routine tracks the player's attempt in following it throughout, and grants points based on how well they did. The player who ends up with the highest score is deemed the winner.
Just Dance 2 offers a few modes. The Dance Battle mode allowed players to split up in teams and compete for glory. The mode itself had five choices to pick from, with each choice picking a random song for the players to dance to. (An option is given to let the game choose another song, but this could only be done once per game).
Other modes introduced in the game were the Medleys, a blend of five songs put together for the players to dance to, the Non-Stop Shuffle, an endless mode where players dance without any interruptions, and Just Sweat, a mode where players can track down their exercise progress while dancing, with a Sweat Counter posted on every dance during this mode. Features in the game include the ability to sort songs in different categories and the ability to shorten the routines for a quick round of play.

Trivia
- This game has the most cover versions of songs with 8.
- This is the only game where there are DLC songs that have been released before the 2000s. (Just Dance 3 also did this, but those tracks were from past games.)
- This game won the award for "Favorite Video Game" in the 2011 Nickolodeon Kids Choice Awards. This process would happen again with each new installment until Just Dance 2015.
