Just Dance DLC is a paid subscription service which was announced alongside Just Dance 2 at E3 2010. The service allows players to subscribe to a streaming service that allows one to play songs from past games, as well as exclusive songs only available on DLC. Each song is streamed directly to each console on demand. In Just Dance 2, routines can be played in Just Sweat mode. Routines can also be shortened. The service returned on Just Dance 3, allowing Xbox 360 to access DLC. The service was unavailable for the PS3 version of the game in the meantime for unknown reasons. The durations of the routines don't appear on the menu anymore and they can't be shortened. You can also make your own routines in Just Create from some past Just Dance games and DLC exclusive ones. The service returned on Just Dance 4, allowing PS3 and Wii U to access DLC. The effort difficulty ratings have been removed and some songs can be unlocked via Wheel of Gifts on Wii U and Xbox 360 versions of the game. The service returned on Just Dance 2014, allowing Playstation 4 and Xbox One to access DLC. Instead of difficulty bars, it shows the difficulty in words. You can also dance some of these songs on Just Sweat, where you can burn calories. You can also now unlock avatars for the map you previously played. The service returned on Just Dance 2015, where the difficulties have been removed. The service was replaced by Just Dance Unlimited on Just Dance 2016. One can subscribe to the service for $3.99 (£3.29) or 400 Wii Points for a month, $9.99 (£7.99) or 1000 Wii Points for 3 months, or $24.99 (£19.99) or 2500 Wii Points for a year. The prices are the same for all platforms. The service is no longer available on all games and consoles due to the shut down of the service on Just Dance 2 and Just Dance 3 on July 27, 2017 and March 22, 2018 for other games. The service also has a Japanese version of the service that is feature on Just Dance Wii and every other Japanese game besides Yo-kai Watch Dance: Just Dance Special Version in the entire franchise.
