Applause is a song in the main series of Just Dance, officially appearing for Just Dance 2014. It is by Lady Gaga.
Appearance of the Dancers[]
Classic[]
C1[]
The coach is Countess Butterfly. She is a woman with a black shiny leather dress, with a garter belt that connects it to her shiny black boots. The back of the dress has a large countess collar. She also wears a flowing golden evening gown that is open in front, with the hems of the sleeves, and the skirt flowing freely. A hot pink dress hoop "pushes" the gown out, making it look more like a 16th-century ballroom dress. She has a gold choker scarf and has blondish puffy hair that is curled at the end. She wears a hot pink glove and a black visor on her face.
C2[]
The coach transforms into a completely different outfit. She wears a shiny brown long sleeve crop-top and black cuffs at the end. She also wears a black collar. As for the shorts, they are shiny and brown too, with black cuffs on the hips as well. She wears burgundy ankle length high heel boots, and a similar looking brown glove. Her hair does not appear curled at the ends anymore, and the blonde hair is slightly paler. She wears a black butterfly-shaped visor on her face.
Alternative[]
The coach is Joan. She is a woman. Her outfit is inspired by the official music video. She has a white face paint, with smudged blue eye-shadow and orange, smudged lipstick. She also wears black ankle-length boots. She wears a bodysuit with flowing cuffs over the hands, and black spandex shorts and a black strapless bra are visible underneath. There is also a noticeable, fiery, static-like outline around the dancer as well.
Synopsis[]
Applause is a song in Just Dance 2014 and is also featured in Just Dance Wii U, Just Dance Now and the Just Dance Unlimited service. It has two dances associated with it: the Classic Version (comprised of a Solo dance done by a female coach) and an alternate version (comprised of a Solo dance done by a female coach). In the series, the Classic Version was originally marked with a Medium difficulty rating, though it has switched to an Easy difficulty rating while the Alternate Version is marked with a Hard difficulty rating. Neither of the dances originally had effort ratings, though the Classic Version has since been given a Low effort rating.
In Just Dance 2014, Applause's Alternate Version appears as a downloadable dance, though it no longer available for purchase in the Wii rendition (However, if it has been purchased and saved prior, then it is still available to play).
In Just Dance Wii U, only Applause's Classic Version appears.
Setting[]
The classic dance first takes place in a room with a constantly lit floor and six elastic squares. The six squares are being stretched by people as the coach is performing. It then goes to another room with another constantly lit floor, a sparkle of light at the top, and background dancers. It then moves to a final room with four background dancers and a big elastic wall with someone stretching it. The process then repeats again until the bridge occurs where it goes in the second room, with the lit floor from the first setting appearing rather than the one in the second setting. At the end of the performance, the setting ends off in the third room.
The alternate dance takes place on a stage with an audience. The colors of the stage lights are primarily yellow, purple, and red.
