24K Magic is a song in the main series of Just Dance, officially appearing for Just Dance 2018. It is by Bruno Mars.
Synopsis[]
24K Magic is a song in Just Dance 2018 and is also featured in Just Dance Now and the Just Dance Unlimited service. It has two dances associated with it: the Classic Version (comprised of a Duet dance done by two male coaches) and an alternate Extreme Version (comprised of a Solo dance done by a male coach). While the dances did not originally have any ratings in the series, the Classic Version was later marked with an Easy difficulty rating and a Low effort rating while the Extreme Version was later marked with an Extreme difficulty rating and a Moderate effort rating.
In Just Dance 2018, 24K Magic's Extreme Version is locked. To unlock it for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Xbox One renditions, a user has to play the Gift Machine (which in itself is locked and can be unlocked by playing five songs, two being from the limited selection given at the beginning of the game) until it is rewarded as it is by chance. To unlock it for the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 renditions, a user has to continuously play the game until it shows up as the ninth alternate revealed.
In the Just Dance Unlimited service, 24K Magic also appears in China, which runs under a different catalogue.
Setting[]
The Classic dance for 24K Magic takes place in a universe where most of it is filled with either bars of gold or objects accented with/made of gold. At one point of the performance, the universe is at a motel equipped with golden escalators, and people are seen performing on them as they carry them up or down.
The Extreme dance for 24K Magic takes place in front of backdrops featuring some of the gold objects from the Classic Version. The backdrops also have a kaleidoscopic effect in them that end up making them have a symmetrical appearance.
